Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl, or matcha chawan. It is a medium gray color with a dark brown base and a lightly textured glaze. There is a very subtle black design on the side, but it is unclear whether it is kanji or a leafy/plant design. This is a traditional chawan shape with tall sides and is sturdy and easy to hold.
Green tea bowls are traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
