Japanese Buddhist Offering Stand Kuge
This is a vintage offering stand Kuge for the Buddhist altar in Japan. It is lacquered outside the gold and the inside of the cup black. It is a utensil for offering rice cakes, fruits, Rakugan sweets, etc... mainly used by the Jodo Shinshu Honganji sect.
