This is a Japanese vintage snack bowl, or kashiki, typically used for serving snacks, such as senbei crackers or sweets, to guests in one's home, business, etc. It is also commonly used in tea ceremonies for serving and displaying traditional sweets called namagashi.
With a rich brown stain and clear brushed lacquer varnish, this small classic bowl provides both function and beautiful decor in any space.
