Vintage Japanese Bow Arrow Display Stand
This is a vintage small wooden stand for a bow with arrows (Hamayumi) for display in one's home. The stand has a gold resin cup on the bottom panel for the end of a bow to rest as well as two small holes on either side meant for placing two arrows. Hamayumi is said to ward off evil spirits from the house and bring fortune. It is also a talisman for the healthy growth of children and is often displayed during the Boys' Day Festival (Children's Day) every May.
