Vintage Japanese Wooden Serving Tray Obon w/Box

This is a vintage wooden serving tray, or obon. It is round with a raised edge. The tray is brown on the inside and outside edges, and has a textured black bottom on the outside. It features different-color marks, and some of them have a Kanji design that is likely a signature. It comes with the original paper box.
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.

  • Good condition considering age. Slight lacquer scratches like wrinkles on the inside bottom. Lacquer cracks on the inside and outside edges. Chip on the rim. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
