Vintage Japanese Wooden Lacquered Serving Tray, Obon
Coated in gorgeous and glossy black lacquer with a red lacquer edge, this hyotan gourd-shaped serving tray is thin and lightweight. It has traditional gold makie designs on it. This particular tray is used during tea ceremony for serving traditional wagashi sweets.
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.
