Japanese Hanging Scroll Weights Fuchin w/ Box
This is a pair of Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku) weights, or fuchin. Fuchin is a decoration that hangs on both ends of the bottom of a hanging scroll. It's a decoration as well as weighs the scroll down to keep it straight.
This item features porcelain "stones" in a rounded square shape that features a sometsuke (indigo blue and white) design of the lucky hammer often associate with Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. It has brown tassels with a gold accent underlayer at the head. It comes with a box, however it is not the original.
