Vtg Japanese Ceramic Teapot
This is a miniature vintage Japanese ceramic teapot/kettle, or kyusu. It is unglazed with a natural terracotta brown color. There is a gold string that ties the lid and main body together.
Kyusu teapots come in a few shapes, the most common being ones with a handle crafted into the side. They are typically smaller than western teapots as Japanese tea is typically served in smaller quantities and often steeped multiple times in one service.
