Vtg Japanese Ceramic Soy Sauce Dispenser
This is a small vintage Japanese ceramic soy sauce dispenser, or shoyusashi. It is mostly white is with a blue and green design of pine trees and playing children of Tang Dynasty China (karako), a popular decorative motif in Japan that symbolizes longevity and health for children. This pot has a small lid and is made for holding and pouring soy sauce or other thin sauces (tare). It fits nicely in the hand.
