This is a large pair of Japanese vintage Buddhist altar candle holder stands. These candlesticks are bronze metal with a dark brown color. They have a golden crane-shaped Nichiren Shoshu sect mon symbol. Candlestands or candlesticks are basic Buddhist tools used in most sects and an essential item for Buddhist altars (Butsudan).
