Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Tray

This is a vintage Japanese lacquered wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and or snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc.
Coated with a rich dark crimson red on one side, and black on the backside, it showcases the kamakurabori style. This sturdy, round, lightweight tray depicts the carved image of two birds among dense leaves. It can also be used as a display item.
