 Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Doll

This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll has a classic design (round head, cylindrical body). The body is slightly curved, and it is painted with red line bands and red floral designs. The facial expression is sweet and neutral, and it is surrounded by tufts of black painted hair and extra red details to match the body. It has been brushed with a clear lacquer coating to give it shine.
Kokeshi dolls are traditional toys, figurines, and charms crafted from wood that are an excellent decorative representation of Japanese craftsmanship and traditional culture.
