Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. It features a glossy brown glaze that varies in tone depending on thickness. The shape is slightly irregular, hand-formed with an organic profile. It has a signature around the foot. The foot has cuts, called Kirikodai.
Green tea bowls are traditionally used to prepare and drink green tea during tea ceremonies, but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
