Vtg Japanese Hina Doll Furniture Lantern Set
This is a vintage Hina doll furniture lantern set. The lanterns are made of black lacquered wood with silk shades. The shades features cherry blossom trees and petals and have pink and white tassels hanging from the top and on the base piece. A Bonbori is a small lantern (portable lamp) that is lit by lighting a candle inside a candlestick covered with paper or cloth. It was used as a lighting fixture in the days when there was no electricity. This toy set is not electric and is only for decoration. It comes with the original box sans the lid.
