Japanese Kohiki Ceramic Yunomi Teacup
This vintage Japanese ceramic teacup features a creamy white glossy glaze on top of red clay, visible at the bottom of the cup. This style is called kohiki. This cup has an angled rim and a stamp at the base.
This cup is called yunomi, a cup made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). These cups are typically brought to guest in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
