Vintage Japanese Ceramic Spouted Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic spouted bowl, or katakuchi. It has a beige glaze. The spout is large and the top of the bowl has an overhanging edge. It has an abstract black plant design on one side.
This type of lipped small bowls is called katakuchi. They are traditional bowls now used as sauce pitchers and condiment bowls. They can also be used during tea ceremony to serve matcha.
