Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Drink Saucers

This is a  vintage Japanese lacquered wooden drink saucer/coaster, or chataku. A stunning caramel brown lacquer color in true Hida Shunkei Nuri style, this lightweight and easily stackable set is a simple, classic style. It has an indentation at the center to keep a cup from slipping off.
