Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Drink Saucers

This is a six-piece set of vintage Japanese lacquered wooden drink saucers/coasters, or chataku. A striking reddish-brown lacquer color in true Hida Shunkei Nuri style, this lightweight and easily stackable set is a simple and classic. It has an indentation at the center to keep a cup from slipping off. One of the coasters is a lighter reddish brown color and slightly smaller than the rest.
