Vintage Japanese Lacquered Lidded Bowl
An iconic glossy black outside and bright red inside, this vintage lacquered wooden bowl with a lid is a classic addition to any traditional Japanese dinnerware set. This particular bowl is considered an owan, a bowl made for soups or rice. It can also be used for other dishes. The bowl itself is easy to hold while eating and the lid fits loosely on the top with an overhang.
