Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. This piece is a perfect example of pink Shino ware. A rich terracotta brown base with a white pocked layer over the top that allows the pinkish brown to peek through. There is a leaf design on it. It is sturdy and easy to handle.
Green tea bowls are traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
