Vintage Japanese Bamboo Birdcage
This is a vintage Japanese bamboo birdcage, or torikago. This unique cage with two levels is built up of small strips and dowels of bamboo and fitted together without the use of glue or other adhesives. There is one sliding door that moves up smoothly, a stick a piece of wood that is fitted firmly at the upper level for a bird to sit on, as well as a removable bottom panel for easy cleaning access. This cage is meant for a single small bird, but is also a very visually appealing decorative piece.
