 Japanese Buddhist Altar  Candle Snuffer 

This is a vintage Japanese candle snuffer made of metal shaped like a small bell. The handle has a plastic coating for grip. It is used for extinguishing burning candles on a Buddhist altar and is a useful accessory for any butsugu set. A snuffer helps to avoid problems associated with blowing hot wax and the smoke and odor of blowing a candle out.
