Vtg Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Shokudai Candle Stand 

This item is a Japanese vintage Buddhist altar candle holder stand. This brass metal candlestick is gold and has three legs with a Shishi motif, as well as two handles with an elephant motif. In the middle, it features a relief of a bird with flowers on both sides. The spike to hold a candle is removable. Candlestands or candlesticks are basic Buddhist tools used in most sects and are essential for Buddhist altars (Butsudan).
