Vintage Japanese WWII Era Aircraft Flag
This is a vintage Japanese national flag. Called Hinomaru (ball of the sun) or Nisshouki (flag of the sun), this small flag is speculated to have been a WWII aircraft insignia flag due to the subtle white ring around the red sun (though it is heavily faded now). The flag has two reinforced corners with ties for attaching to a pole or rope.
