Japanese Wooden Bucket Sushioke, Hangiri, Handai
This is a Japanese vintage wooden sushi bucket. It is called Sushioke, Hangiri, or Handai. Sushioke is a bucket used to serve sushi. Made of wood pieces, it is firmly held together by two thin metal plates, wires, or woven bamboo called Taga. This particular piece uses metal bands.
