This is a vintage Japanese traditional craft wooden kokeshi doll, figurine. Kokeshi are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years (the late Edo period) as a toy and amulets for children. This kokeshi doll has plum blossoms carved on its body.
