Vtg Japanese Wood Bell Dorei
This is a vintage Japanese wood bell, Dorei or Suzu. The design of Tengu. It is a Tengu-shaped bell that can be used as a room decoration or an ornament. Dorei bells have a long history and have been used in festivals and ceremonies since the Jomon period (about 13000 to 2300 years ago) when they were said to have the power to ward off evil spirits. The Kanji characters say Tengu bell 天狗鈴.
