This is a Japanese sewing box, also called Haribako. Finished with a rich chocolate brown color and with natural wood grain on display, this tansu chest has three drawers with simple metal hardware. The design is created using a maki-e technique and depicts flowers such as peonies in green, orange, and gold. This beautiful piece can also be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets. The original box is included.
