In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc.
This large, shallow, square antique wooden box with a lid is made for storing a big decorative porcelain plate. It can also be used for general storage of trinkets or use for display or other crafts/projects.

- Good condition considering age. Hole on side where wood knot has fallen out. Some scratches and discoloration. Fading where label had been. Chips and dents on corners. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
