This is a Japanese wooden cosmetic or vanity box, or Keshobako. It has a reddish brown finish with metal hardware and contains two drawers perfect for small items and jewelry. The mirror on the lid extends outward and rests in grooves at the box's opening to create the perfect angle for use.
