Vintage Japanese Porcelain Bell Dorei
This is a vintage Japanese wooden bell, or dorei. This bell is made of solid wood and is shaped like a classic bell in a natural brown color. It has a metal ringer inside. It has a braided silk cord tied to the top. This item is an amulet that grants wishes.
Dorei bells have a long history and have been used in festivals and ceremonies since the Jomon period (about 3000 to 2300 years ago) when they were said to have the power to ward off evil spirits.
