Japanese Bangasa Umbrella
Whether paired with a beautiful kimono or in the hands of an elegant Geisha, Japanese traditional umbrellas (wagasa) are a popular fashion accessory as well as an eye-catching home decor piece.
Using a lush floral pattern, this parasol is covered with tan and red colored paper, and the headpiece at the very top uses deep red cloth and orange string. The outer ribs are painted with red lacquer and the inner ribs are stained a red. The handle is made of lightweight wood with metal pins and bottom tip.
