Vtg Japanese Traditional Shamisen String Instrument
This is a Japanese traditional wooden instrument called a Shamisen. It is a plucked string instrument made from wood, animal skin and fabric. This shamisen's body and neck are in a beautiful dark brown color. It is a learner's shamisen with key numbers on the side of the neck. This vintage shamisen comes with three coils of spare strings and a finger cover (Yubisuri). It comes with its black transport case, covered with a red felt fabric on the inside.

Shamisen approx. 23.2 cm long x 99.5 cm tall x 9 cm wide. Body approx. 18.5 cm long x 21.5 cm tall x 9 cm wide. Neck approx. 75.3 cm long. Case approx. 29 cm long x 130.3 cm tall x 11.8 cm wide.
Good condition considering its age. Needs to be repapered and restrung. Batchi (plectrum) is missing. Body torn. Ruptured skin on the front. Marks, scratches and other damages on the case. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
