Japanese Shamisen String Anchor
This is a vintage Japanese Shamisen neo, the knotted, braided silk cord that anchors the three strings to the bottom of the instrument. This piece is a combination of copper-brown and a light green. This important accessory item serves to fasten the strings, but also hold the box of the shamisen to the neck.
