Vintage Japanese Resin Lacquer Replica Serving Tray w/Box

This is a Japanese vintage wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc.
Black in color with reddish accents, this round and sturdy tray provides both function and beautiful decor. It prominently features a cluster of lush daisies and other foliage in gold, green, white, and orange. There is also a butterfly with reflective wings made to look like traditional raden (abalone shell). This piece is meant to mimic traditional lacquered maki-e trays.
The original box is included.
