Vintage Japanese Porcelain Small Plate, Mamezara

This is a vintage Japanese small porcelain plate called mamezara. Mostly white, this plate has a blue sometsuke design of a building with trees overlooking the ocean (island in the distance). It has a scalloped edge.
Mamezara are tiny plates in a Japanese tableware set that typically hold dipping sauces such as soy sauce, garnishes, and other condiments. It is also the perfect size for holding small jewelry.
