Vintage Japanese Porcelain Large Plate
This is a vintage Japanese decorative porcelain plate. This large round plate (ozara) is blue, white, and orange with a detailed image of gray carp and orange and white koi swimming in water between pine trees and full-bloom chrysanthemums. The border is simply brown. This plate comes with a black resin stand and the original paper box.
These large plates are mainly used for sushi and sashimi presentation, for centerpieces, for general display, and sometimes are used as a charger plate/trivet for nabe pots or for serving raw vegetables and meat for a hotpot meal.
