Vtg Japanese Porcelain Kohosaku Rice Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese porcelain rice bowl, called Meishijawan. This round bowl is white and blue and features leaves pattern on the outside and the inside. The pattern on the inside will be revealed once the food (rice) is consumed. Meishijawan are designed to put cooked rice but this bowl can be used to serve soup or other food.
We got this item at an antique auction in Tajimi in Gifu, Japan.
