Vintage Japanese Miniature Taiko Drum Boys' Festival Display
This is a Japanese vintage miniature brown and gold display-only taiko drum with a stand and cushion. The drum and drumhead are made of resin and have a decorative, bright gold knotted cord and tassel attached to a metal loop on one side. The drum sits on a purple square cushion with two small orange tassels, and the stand is made of wood with a thin metal chrysanthemum decoration on the front side. There are no drumsticks.
This Japanese Taiko drum is a traditional decoration for the Boys' Day Festival, celebrating good health and fortune for boys on May 5th each year.
