Japanese Maedaiko Performance Practice Drum
This is a Japanese maedaiko drum used in traditional theatre by geisha (geiko) and maiko. It is specifically for practice purposes. The body is lightweight wood with green and white fabric wrapped around the middle. Bright red cords threaded through resemble tension ropes on the real drum. A soft red fabric cord and a wooden hook for securing to a kimono or performance attire also come with this practice drum. It comes with drumsticks (bachi) capped with green fabric.
