Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Tray, Obon 

This is a vintage lacquered wood serving tray, or obon. It is perfectly square with tall sides. It is coated in black lacquer with a gold edge.  The tray features gold and silver makie small bird on a branch for a design.
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.
