Vtg Japanese Lacquerware Wood Bowl Kashiki w/Box
This is a vintage Japanese lacquer lidded wooden snack bowl, or kashiki. Kashiki is a bowl or container that holds sweets served at Japanese tea ceremonies. It can be used for household use, decoration, and as well as for storing small items like jewelry or coasters. It is dark red, and the bowl rim and the lid edge are black. The handle is shaped like a ball without a color lacquer coat. Some circles of different designs surround the handle, such as lines, leaves, and green. It is housed in the original wooden box.
