Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Tray

This is a vintage Japanese lacquered wooden tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and or snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc.
Painted a classic black with a red rim, it features a gold and red image of Japanese maple leaves (momiji). This sturdy, rectangular tray provides both function and beautiful decor.

  • Approx. 27.5 cm long x 42.5 cm wide x 4.5 cm tall
  • Good condition considering its age. Lacquer is worn in some places. Scratches and places on corners around joints where lacquer has chipped. Some staining and discoloration. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
