Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Makie Plate
Decorated with a beautiful gold makie design of a flying crane (tsuru), this glossy black plate is used for serving small snacks and desserts. It is also common to use these types of plates (called meimeizara) during tea ceremonies for wagashi sweets. This little lightweight round sara plate is perfect for decoration as well as for entertaining.
