Japanese Incense Burner Koro for Buddhist Altar Butsudan
This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist lacquered wood incense burner (koro) made as a fitting for a Buddhist altar. It is a square shape with rounded corners, black with makie flowers painted in gold and red. The brown part is removable and also made of lacquered wood. It is used for burning incense powder or sticks. The incense burner has the meaning of purifying the body of the worshiper.
