Japanese Clay Doll Kyo-Ningyo
This is a vintage Japanese clay doll, Kyo-Ningyo. It is a girl or a geisha in a kimono. Kyo-Ningyo is an unglazed doll made in Kyoto. It is made from clay, dried, and fired at a low temperature of about 850°C.
