Vintage Japanese Wooden Renjishi Kabuki Lion Dance Doll
This is a Japanese vintage wooden doll. It represents a Renjishi, a Kabuki lion, with white hair (parent lion). The wooden doll is covered by silk. The lion is wearing a gorgeous green and blue kimono and several accesories: a fan in one hand and a headpiece representing a Japanese crane (tsuru). Renjishi dolls can be displayed for Children's Day, Shichi-go-san and other special occasions.
