Japanese Decorative Imitation Ninja Kusarigama
This is a vintage Japanese decorative imitation ninja kusarigama (sickle and chain). The blade of the sickle is made of metal crafted to look like a sharpened edge (not sharp) and is hammered into a wooden handle. The handle has two metal caps on each end and the grip part is decorated with shards of abalone shell. The chain is long with a weighted ball on the end for momentum when swinging and throwing.
Often used in stage plays, traditional theatre, historical reenactments, educational demonstrations, during festivals, and for general cosplay, imitation weapons are also a popular decorative object.
