Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl, Matcha Chawan. It has a beige yellow crackle glaze topped with two half circle shapes in a dark green glossy glaze. It is decorated with painted floral designs on the outside and an horizontal line on the inside. The edge of the bowl is brown and slightly curved in two places. This bowl is signed with a pottery stamp on the bottom. This type of bowls is traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies.
