Vtg Japanese Ceramic Display Plate

This is a Japanese vintage zodiac ceramic display plate. This Tokoname ware plate is round and brownish-red in color. It shows a tiger on rocks in a bamboo forest. The Tiger is one of the twelve signs of the Japanese zodiac and represents strength and authority. This plate is cased in a wooden box with different information on the lid such as the designer's name and the kiln's name. This Tiger round plate is ideal for display during the Year of the Tiger and can also be used as a permanent display. It is a powerful addition to any home or office interior.
